Resources for Students with Disabilities in the Healthcare & Health Sciences Pathway

Navigating the academic and career journey to pursue an occupation in healthcare can be challenging.  Doing so with a disability can add to the challenge.  The UF Career Connections Center wants to help you be successful by providing tools to support you.  Below you will find information on resources on campus and online.

ON CAMPUS RESOURCES

UF Disability Resource Center:  The purpose of the Disability Resource Center (DRC) is to address access barriers, which may vary from course to course. We work towards creating a campus culture of access and inclusion. Students with disabilities can connect with our office to receive support services and accommodations.

Delta Alpha Pi Honor Society: Our purpose is to provide a safe community for high-achieving students with disabilities. We focus on encouraging our members and educating them and other students about living with a disability.

Disability Ambassadors: The Disability Ambassadors are a diverse group of students working to promote accessibility, inclusivity, and empowerment of disability identity. The group works to promote disability as a valued aspect of diversity through student-led education and outreach efforts.
