Applications for the 2024-2025 cohort of UF MARC GatorSTAR fellows are currently open. If you 1) will be a junior in fall 2024, 2) are considering a career in biomedical research, 3) are from a socioeconomically disadvantaged background and/or are from a group that has been traditionally under-represented in the sciences, and 4) are a US citizen or permanent resident, then consider applying for the UF MARC fellowship program.
MARC fellows will be appointed in summer 2024 for up to two years. During their appointment, MARC fellows participate in intensive biomedical research with a UF faculty mentor, receive weekly professional development training, and are provided a stipend of about $1,100 per month and a 60% tuition scholarship, among other benefits. Over 80% of prior UF MARC fellows have continued to prestigious PhD or MD/PhD programs after graduation.
Go to the UF MARC program website linked below for more information and to apply to the program. Applications will be reviewed until all fellowship positions are filled.
