Come share it—or just come listen—at Firsts & Forevers, a welcoming open mic event for first-generation students in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Whether it was your first class, your first all-nighter, or your first time finding your people, we want to hear about it. You can share your story through spoken word, poetry, song, or storytelling—or just enjoy the performances, connect with others, and grab some free food.
This event is a celebration of first-gen identity and community. You’ll leave feeling inspired, supported, and more connected to others who’ve walked a similar path.
No experience necessary—just heart.
