This fall, UF students can find out through a Career Trek: Job Shadow Day at the St. Johns County Clerk of the Circuit Court & County Comptroller’s Office in St. Augustine, FL. Unlike a traditional workplace tour, this immersive experience allows students to observe professionals in their actual work environment, learn about their daily responsibilities, ask questions, and gain firsthand insight into the careers that keep local government and the justice system operating every day.
During the day, students will:
- Participate in job shadowing across departments
- Learn how the court system and county government function
- Connect with professionals in law, public service, and finance
- Hear directly from organizational leadership
- Engage in Q&A and small-group conversations with staff members and professionals throughout the organization
This experience is open to students of all majors interested in government, public service, law, administration, communications, customer experience, records management, auditing, information technology, and community engagement. Whether you’re exploring career options, considering law school, or interested in making an impact through public service, you’ll gain valuable insight into how diverse career paths contribute to serving a community.
