Career Trek: ZooTampa & UF Veterinary Hospital at the World Equestrian Center

Join us for an immersive, full-day career trek exploring animal science, pre‑veterinary, and veterinary career pathways! We’ll depart early from campus and travel to ZooTampa, where students will get an inside look at careers in animal care, conservation, education, and zoological operations. Participants will learn from professionals working in a range of roles and gain insight into internships and early‑career opportunities in zoological settings.

In the afternoon, we’ll stop at the UF Veterinary Hospital at the World Equestrian Center (WEC) in Ocala on our return to campus. Students will tour this state‑of‑the‑art teaching hospital serving both large and small animals and hear from veterinary professionals about careers in clinical practice, veterinary medicine within academic settings, and pathways to gaining hands‑on experience while in school.

This trek is a unique opportunity to explore diverse animal‑focused work environments, connect with professionals, and better understand the skills and experiences needed for careers in veterinary and animal sciences.

Return: Approximately 6:00 PM
