Career Trek: Job Shadow Day at the St. Johns County Clerk of Circuit Court and County Comptroller

Spend a day behind the scenes in the justice system and local government!

Join this Career Trek Job Shadow Day for an immersive experience at the St. Johns County Clerk of Circuit Court & County Comptroller’s Office. This is your opportunity to go beyond the classroom and explore how courts, public records, and county finances support the community and keep local government running.

What You’ll Do:

Participate in job shadowing across multiple departments
Learn how the court system and county government operate
Connect with professionals in law, public service, and finance
Hear from leadership about career paths and community impact
Engage in Q&A and small-group conversations with employees

Open to: UF students from all majors, with particular interest for those studying Pre-Law, Political Science, Criminology, Sociology, Public Administration, Public Relations, Business Administration, Accounting, and Finance.

Transportation: Traveling from Gainesville? Transportation will be provided. If you live near St. Augustine, you’re welcome to meet the group directly at the site instead of riding from campus.

To apply for this Career Trek, please complete the following form and upload a signed copy in the registration form. If you are a minor, your parent/guardian will also need to sign the form.

We will review all applications on a rolling basis and notify approved participants no later than August 3rd, 2026.

All approved participants must participate in a virtual Pre-Trek Orientation on August 10th at 1:00 p.m. You will receive the orientation link if you are accepted to participate.
