Master the life-saving skills of a Combat Medic (68W) while navigating the challenges of real-world Search & Rescue operations

Welcome to the National Guard Oregon Job Simulation! In this simulation, you’ll step into the role of a Combat Medic (68W) specializing in Search & Rescue (SAR). Your mission is to respond to real-world emergency scenarios. This experience will prepare you for roles in military medical support, emergency response, and disaster relief operations, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in military medical careers. No prior medical or military experience is required, as this program is designed to be accessible and engaging for all participants. Combat Medics with Search & Rescue training play a critical role in saving lives during disasters, military operations, and humanitarian missions, requiring them to navigate harsh environments, provide urgent care, and coordinate evacuations-often with limited time and resources.

Through this experience, you will gain expertise in:

Emergency Medical Response & Trauma Care: Assessing and stabilizing injured individuals in remote environmentsSearch & Rescue Coordination & Logistics: Planning and executing rescue operations effectivelyDecision-Making Under Pressure: Handling crisis situations where timing and accuracy are criticalTeam Communication & Resource Management: Coordinating with rescue teams and ensuring mission success

By completing this job simulation, you’ll develop the skills and mindset necessary to excel in emergency medical and SAR roles, setting you on a path toward a rewarding career in military service, emergency medicine, and public safety.

This program is self-paced. It takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete.
