Position Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing commercial plumbing projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of quality and safety.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of commercial plumbing projects, from pre-construction through project closeout
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and work plans
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project objectives are met
- Review project specifications, drawings, and submittals for compliance and accuracy
- Manage procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery
- Identify potential risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
- Supervise and mentor field personnel and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are achieved
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality assurance protocols, and company procedures
- Prepare and present regular project updates and reports to leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned to support overall project and company success
Position Overview
As the Assistant Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of large-scale commercial plumbing projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating tasks, monitoring project progress, and assisting in keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and managing commercial plumbing projects from start to finish.
- Work closely with the project manager to track project schedules, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely material deliveries.
- Help prepare project documentation, including contracts, permits, change orders, and reports.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety and plumbing codes.
- Assist in resolving job site issues by communicating with field personnel and project managers.
- Ensure all necessary inspections are scheduled and completed as required.
- Serve as a liaison between project managers, field crews, engineers, and clients.
- Participate in project meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
- Communicate project updates to stakeholders, addressing any concerns or delays.
- Assist with estimating, budgeting, and tracking project expenses.
- Review invoices, purchase orders, and work orders to ensure accuracy and approval.
- Identify potential cost savings and efficiencies throughout the project.
- Maintain accurate project records, including RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, and blueprints.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, plumbing codes, and company policies.
- Support the preparation of close-out documents and final project reports.
Qualifications
- Recent graduate from an accredited construction management program OR at least 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager in the construction industry.
- Familiarity with systems required for large-scale commercial projects, including condominiums, schools, hospitals, correctional facilities, and retail shopping centers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or a combination of technical training and field experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
