Commodities Summer Analyst Program– 2026

Job Description & Program Overview

Our Global Markets business offers sales and trading services, including research, to institutional clients across fixed-income, credit, currency, and commodity and equity businesses. Global Markets product coverage includes securities and derivative products in both the primary and secondary markets.

Our Commodities Summer Analyst Program includes formal training and rotations through commodity desks including: structuring/origination, sales, oil, natural gas, power, and investor products. Interns will have the opportunity to work across sales and trading functions.

As an analyst in Sales, you will focus on building and maintaining relationships with clients by matching our services to their needs. This includes interaction with portfolio managers, research analysts and traders relaying investment research, relevant market information and marketing ideas.

As an analyst in Trading, you will add value in a support role, increasing your knowledge through reading financial publications, shadowing traders, talking to sales, generating and monitoring trade ideas, and more.

Further intern responsibilities may include:

  • Work on specific commodity-related transactions, including deal valuation and structuring as well as participate in internal and external discussion developing structured deal solutions for customers
  • Assist market strategists and traders to integrate fundamental points of view with trading strategies
  • Work with teams to develop marketing presentations, develop models, assimilate historical data and generate reports that create interest in commodities and develop new business.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates are required to be pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a graduation timeframe between November 2026 and August 2027
  • 3.2 minimum GPA preferred
  • Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, strategic and creative thinking, and strong written and oral communications skills
  • Superior analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage several projects at once
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team
  • Other desired characteristics include integrity, attention to detail, assertiveness, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic and team focus
  • Strong interest in global financial markets and commodities sector and keen interest in complex structures is preferred
  • Knowledge of financial derivatives and global energy markets, in addition to a background in accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering, statistics, or programming background a plus
