The community psychology program covers education programs, women’s programs, human rights issues, corporate social responsibility approach, and other development tasks on the grassroots level in Africa.
Details
The placement focuses on children in poverty, children and youth with disabilities, orphaned children, unemployed youth, women in poverty, people with HIV, people recovering from trauma, addiction recovery, older people, the art sector, education, etc. Clinical placements are also available.
Community psychology refers to the skills and tools that empower us to reach and work with the local community through various programs and tasks.
We use our social media pages for advocacy work. Our Facebook pages have more than 50K followers.
Academic-level team leaders supervise your internship daily. We also monitor your work with a weekly plan and report system to ensure your progress in your study program.
The internship outcome is to learn to use and get experience implementing your education in developing country conditions with limited capacitation. Also, to better understand the opportunities in a fast-growing economy.
Work hours are 6-8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
The program is ongoing, and you can adjust your start dates. We accept applications from all students and alumni. Your placement is tailored to your background, experience, and interests to empower our daily work with the communities.
The start and end dates are flexible and accommodate other travel arrangements in Tanzania.

The Benefits and Perks are as follows:
Accommodation and meals are personal expenses. For 1-13 weeks, EUR 175 per week covers accommodation with breakfast and dinner and the student compound, and from week 13 onwards, it is EUR 125 weekly.
Airport transfer is EUR 60 in one way, a personal expense.
A charity visa for immigration, which costs USD 50, is a personal expense. A multiple-entry visa for less than 12 months is USD 250.
We pay you a USD 50 monthly stipend, which is small but 2x Tanzania’s national minimum wage. The grant requires a minimum participation of four weeks.
Flights are a personal expense.
Local transport, if any, is a personal expense.
