Civil Engineering Intern
Guerra Development Corporation (GDC) is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for roadway and site analysis and design. This unique position provides opportunity for individual and professional growth in a small firm environment, flexibility in schedule, and work on top priority projects in Marion County.
Interested individuals must have a strong professional work ethic with initiative, a positive teamwork approach, applicable experience, and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET institution.
Essential Functions include:
- Preparing roadway/site analysis reports with calculations for stormwater using ICPR, PONDS, and Hydraflow in concert with AutoCAD Civil 3D and permitting requirements.
- Assists with preliminary and final engineering designs under the supervision of a Professional
Engineer - Engineering Intern Certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
· Research specific and project information from various sources
· Perform field reviews and inspections with supporting documentation
· Ability to be flexible with design alternatives and adapt to overcome challenges while meeting schedule targets
· Operate a personal computer using various software products and printers for report production, file management, and other support for GDC.
· Provides support to project managers for meetings, site visits, and other duties as assigned.
