As a Project Engineer, you won’t spend your entire day behind a desk. You’ll have the opportunity to learn how a construction project comes together, from the drawings and planning to seeing the concrete poured in the field.
You’ll work alongside our Superintendents, Foremen, General Contractors, engineers, suppliers, and office team while gaining real-world experience in areas like:
Learn the Project
Attend jobsite meetings, review drawings and project specifications, and learn how the work in the plans becomes what gets built in the field.
Help Keep Projects on Track
Help maintain project schedules, pour logs, labor budgets, rental costs, quantities, production, and other important project information.
Manage the Details
Prepare and track submittals and RFIs, help document changes in the work, and make sure the field team is working from the most current plans and information.
Understand the Business Side of Construction
Gain exposure to project budgets, labor costs, material quantities, production tracking, and change orders. You’ll learn that successful construction is about more than building—it’s also about planning and managing the numbers behind the project.
Coordinate with the Team
Communicate with Superintendents, Foremen, General Contractors, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to help solve problems and keep work moving.
Help Get What the Project Needs
Assist with purchasing and tracking materials, equipment, rentals, and long-lead items so crews have what they need when they need it.
Support Safety & Quality
Help with safety and quality documentation while learning the importance of doing the job the right way. When you’re in the field, you’ll follow all jobsite safety requirements and wear the appropriate PPE.
What You’ll Really Gain
This role is an opportunity to learn construction by being part of it. You’ll gain exposure to both the field and business sides of construction, learn from experienced leaders, take on more responsibility as you grow, and see firsthand how the work you help plan becomes infrastructure that communities depend on.
You don’t have to know everything on Day 1. We’re looking for someone who is curious, willing to learn, comfortable asking questions, and excited to build a career; not just get a job.
