College Internship Program Information:
At NVEEE, part-time (approx. 25-34 hrs/week) and full-time (approx. 35-40 hrs/week) internships are available year-round and can be entirely virtual or hybrid. Students may choose to receive volunteer or academic course credits for the internship. Students seeking the option to receive course credit should inquire with their academic advisor. We will work with the student and college advisor to achieve desired learning outcomes and complete all necessary paperwork. Additionally, please note that this is an unpaid opportunity.
Program Development and Youth Engagement Department Descriptions:
This role plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing NVEEE’s programs, particularly the Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS). Responsibilities include contributing to the overall development, enhancement, and successful execution of youth-oriented initiatives. The focus is on fostering leadership, personal development, and skills among participants.
Below are the committees a part of the Program Development and Youth Engagement department:
- Events/Activities Management and Execution– This role involves overseeing and managing various events and activities within NVEEE, ensuring seamless execution and positive participant experiences. Responsibilities encompass planning, coordinating, and executing events that align with the organization’s mission, values, and objectives. Attention to detail and creativity are key aspects of this role.
- Summer Conference Planning (PALS)– This specific aspect of the role is dedicated to the meticulous planning and execution of the Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit’s (PALS) summer conference. Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and ensuring a vibrant and engaging experience for participants during this key program event.
- Survey and Data Analysis- This role involves designing, conducting, and analyzing surveys to gather valuable insights and feedback. The aim is to assess the impact of NVEEE’s programs, understand participant experiences, and inform strategic decision-making. Strong analytical skills are essential for interpreting data and drawing meaningful conclusions.
- Lesson Plan and Curriculum Design– In this capacity, the focus is on creating impactful lesson plans and designing curriculum content for NVEEE’s programs. This includes developing educational materials that align with program goals, ensuring they are engaging and relevant, and contributing to the overall learning objectives.
- Program Budgeting- This role manages and oversees the budgetary aspects of NVEEE’s programs. This includes financial planning, budget development, and monitoring expenditures to ensure fiscal responsibility. The aim is to optimize resources and allocate funds effectively to support the success of the organization’s programs.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Program Registration: Manage registration platforms to ensure smooth data collection and participant tracking.
- Schedule Development: Help create and organize schedules for key events like PALS, PALP, and Affirm.
- Event Logistics Coordination: Collaborate with speakers, facilitators, and vendors to handle logistical details effectively.
- Workshop Creation: Support the development of engaging workshops on youth leadership, personal growth, and social justice.
- Survey Analysis: Create and analyze surveys to assess program impact and recommend improvements.
- Service Projects: Assist in designing impactful community service projects that align with NVEEE’s mission.
- Participant Engagement: Develop strategies to increase participation in NVEEE programs and events.
- Youth Recognition Initiatives: Support creative ways to celebrate achievements, such as award ceremonies or certificates.
- Storytelling and Media Creation: Collect and craft participant testimonials for use in newsletters, social media, and outreach materials.
