College Internship Program Information:
At NVEEE, part-time (approx. 10-25 hrs/week) and full-time (approx. 30-40 hrs/week) internships are available year-round and can be entirely virtual or hybrid. Students may choose to receive volunteer or academic course credits for the internship. Students seeking the option to receive course credit should inquire with their academic advisor. We will work with the student and college advisor to achieve desired learning outcomes and complete all necessary paperwork. Additionally, please note that this is an unpaid opportunity.
Volunteer Recruitment Committee Description:
The Volunteer Recruitment Committee assists with recruiting and communicating with prospective volunteers.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Meeting recruitment timeline and goals set by the Executive Director.
- Establishing recruitment eligibility, criteria, and the number of volunteers needed for summer youth events such as the Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS).
- Researching schools, organizations, and platforms from which to recruit volunteers.
- Updating recruitment database, including written materials for volunteer listings and reporting the success of each platform.
- Posting listings on various platforms and reviewing applications.
- Establishing relationships with local media sources that can spread recruitment messages.
- Collaborating with the creative services committee to create and distribute recruitment marketing materials.
- Planning and executing volunteer acknowledgment events.
