College Internship Program

Information:

At NVEEE, part-time and full-time internships are available year-round and can be entirely virtual or hybrid. Students are eligible to receive volunteer, internship, and academic course credits if applicable. 

 

Youth Activities and Summit Planning Committee

Description:

The Youth Activities and Summit Planning Committee is responsible for the development, planning, and execution of all program activities, major events, and three annual summer youth programs, the Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS).

 

General responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attending virtual bi-weekly meetings with full committee, in addition to meeting with other committees as needed.
  • Working well with a team but also working on individual tasks with little to no hand-holding.
  • Creating an environment for fun and success.
  • Creating and/or managing NVEEE’s annual youth activities calendar.
  • Supporting the community outreach committee with service projects and activities.
  • Aligning activity themes with national holidays and school district events.
  • Contacting community partners to coordinate school-year activities.
  • Supporting the Programs Development Committee in developing the goals and theme for all activities, including PALS.
  • Coordinating with local vendors/individuals and other committees in planning PALS and events, including scheduling entertainment, speakers, and other logistics.
  • Evaluating feedback after activities and brainstorming improvements.
  • Maintaining a database of ice breakers/activities, including items needed for execution.
  • Creating a budget and tracking costs for program and community-based activities.
  • Supporting the creation of a budget and funding plan for PALS.
  • Creating engaging activities for Virtual PALS. 
  • Creating a comprehensive event timeline incorporating sub-committee timelines.
  • Thanking all of the participants and special guests.
