The Art Law Society is dedicated to developing an interest in the niche field of art law. Through the Art Law Society, students are exposed to a legal field that encompasses the intersection of intellectual property, cultural property, entertainment law, and contracts. While we may be best known for our Annual Student, Faculty, and Staff Art Show, the Art Law Society exists to keep students informed about current, complex issues in the art world and to promote the professional development of students who wish to work in this interdisciplinary field. We strive to understand the integral relationships that the law may have on the most integral form of human, cultural expression: visual art. This goal is accomplished through speakers and through the development of professional relationships in our local community. Any interested UF student is encouraged to join. Meetings will be conducted periodically throughout the school year – check out our Facebook page for more details about events and involvement!
