Rocio is the Human Resources Coordinator for the Staples Center, Microsoft Theatre, and LA Live. As the coordinator, Rocio oversees general human resources duties like payroll and benefits as well as specializing in the Staples Center recruitment process.

>> My name is Roselia Dargo [phonetic]. I'm the HR Coordinator at Staples Center Microsoft Theatre and L.A. Live. A lot of general HR duties, of course, but for me my primary role is in recruitment. And so with recruitment comes the onboarding process, the orientations, which is the first day of orientation. Everyone is excited. The benefits, this is where I get to tell people what they qualify for. And then just, it's an ongoing process, making sure that everyone is happy within their roles. So usually in the mornings I get into the office. First thing I do is check all my emails. It's really important because I want to make sure that I don't miss any type of communication that might impact my day. And then from there it can, it can range from anything really. Maybe I might be look, or working on a project, and I'm very focused on my project but I get a phone call. And so now I have to take care of whatever is going on on the phone. And now I have somebody coming into the office and asking me a question about, I don't know, a pay discrepancy maybe. Now I have to stop what I'm doing and help them. Essentially, you know, we're there to be a resource to all of our team members, and so whatever it is that they need, we help them with whether it's helping them out, you know, apply for a promotional position. Maybe they want to transfer to another state because they're moving. Maybe they have a question with benefits or payroll. We're there to answer any questions.
