Practice Manager, Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health Physicians

>> So my name is Brent Fuller. I am a physician practice manager. I work for Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health as a physician practice manager. I currently work in Manheim. From there, I have two sites in the Manheim location that I help manage. I manage everything from quality to financials of the practice, with help of my physician counterpart. I work on strategy. I work on the business side, making sure we are hitting our visit targets, our budget, our margin, making sure that we're hitting our quality targets. Like, you know, for example, how our diabetics are doing. So lately, in the past few weeks, I've offered jobs to providers to expand our practice, to make sure that we can see more patients in our area, and give the quality of care that our patients deserve. I've also worked on projects that include ways to help us maximize our schedule, to make sure that if you are sick you are seen by your primary care doctor that day instead of going to an urgent care or a hospital partner. On an average day, I would normally walk in, I usually, you know, as a manager, you'd be around the staff, because you know, building relationships with your staff are critical. We use huddles to help take out the issues in our practices daily, to make sure that we can make the jobs easier for our employees. From there, I will take that information and work with a management team to help remove the barriers, and help them implement what they would like to do.
