Paul is the President of Nemours/Alfred I. Dupont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE. As the administrative leader for the hospital, Paul deals with everything from operational strategic development to personnel issues and outside partnerships.

>> Well, my name is Paul Kempinski. And I'm President of the Nemours duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware. So I deal with everything from strategic issues facing the organization to personnel issues, operational issues, issues that may impact our partnerships with other organizations, issues that may impact our relationships with our medical staff. It's really varied and complex and no day is exactly like the other. We have so many opportunities and new programmatic development going on. Some recent issues that I've been involved with is the purchase of real estate near our campus that can help enable some expansion of our programs. We are actually looking to expand our research capability, and we're looking to partner with a large company that resides next door to our campus and has vacant research space. So we're looking to partner with them to utilize some of that. We're in the process of finalizing our budget for the next fiscal year, so we have to make a lot of decisions as to what's contained within that budget and what might not make the budget for next year. So those are some examples of what comes across my desk.
