Senior Consultant, EMI Consulting

>> My name is Nate Wilairat and I am a senior consultant at EMI Consulting in Seattle. We are a research-based energy efficiency consulting firm. So our clients are utilities and cities, and we work with them to plan and evaluate energy efficiency programs and policies. So as a senior consultant, my duties and role has changed a bit, so I'm kind of in a split analyst/project manager role. So on the analyst side, we deal with a lot of primary data, we conduct primary data collection, surveys, interviews, et cetera. So we analyze the data we've collected. We also deal a lot with utility data and some data from cities and other government agencies and we analyze them, we conduct statistical tests, we look at trends, we calculate metrics, et cetera. That's the analyst side of the job. On the project management side of the job, I'm dealing with client interactions, I give presentations, I oversee research conducted by other consultants, so a lot of meetings, a lot check-ins, a lot of status updates, things of that nature.
