Senior Program Manager Education, Google

>> My name is Jordan Pedraza, and I am a senior program manager at Google working on education. So basically it means we bring all of our products to market, to schools and universities around the world that want to use things like Google Apps, Chrome Books, YouTube, Android for Education. Probably the main aspects I've seen is around collaboration so group work; sharing documents; collaboration; and then communication, you know, keeping everyone on the same page and coordinating; and then also for creativity and innovation, being able to create archives and portfolios of work and be able to share it more broadly just outside the classroom. So the nice thing about my role is that it's very cross-functional and kind of ambiguous. So no day is the same. But just to give you an example, let's see. On Friday, I was finishing up our Voice of the Community report where we had some survey data of teachers, IT administrators, school leaders, technology professionals all sharing their feedback on their satisfaction with our products and programs, what trends they felt are going to be important for the future of education, and what their needs and environments are around technology. In earlier days when I was looking after relationships kind of on a more one-to-one basis, I would say I was out of the office at least once a month. Now, these days it's more like once a quarter or so, once every six months.
