Career Prep Process

The University of Florida is committed to students’ career exploration and professional development. As a part of this commitment, the University of Florida has created the Career Prep process to connect students with information, tools, and resources to explore major and career pathways within their first year as a student. The Career Prep process was implemented in response to Florida House Bill 1261 as an institution-wide effort for students to make academic and career decisions that support their individual goals.

Career Prep Holds

During a student’s first semester at the University, two Career Prep holds will appear on their account. The student will be required to fulfill actions to lift the two holds in order to register for their summer and fall 2024 courses. The Career Prep process to remove both holds should take approximately 45 minutes to complete in total.
