Invite a Career Connections Center (C3) staff member to speak to your class, event, or student organization. We can present on a variety of topics, ranging from a 30-minute C3 Introduction to a 50-minute Outreach on Job and Internship Search Strategies.

Please note that requesters are limited to a maximum of three (3) outreach presentations from our outreach database each semester. If you are interested in establishing a more comprehensive relationship with the Career Connections Center, In that case, we encourage you to schedule a faculty consultation meeting with our Career Design Learning Specialist, Michael Goldberg. In this meeting, you can discuss educational technology tools and explore pre-created assignments that can be seamlessly integrated into your course.
Types of Outreaches
These presentations are 30 – 50-minute presentations usually held during a class meeting time, or a student organization meeting. Topics range from an Overview of the Career Connections Center, Job and Internship Search Strategies, LinkedIn, Networking and more. These will include a presentation and time for Q&A at the end.
These presentations can include a variety of topics and activities. Let us know what you need and meet with a Career Coach to decide how to best help your group!
Take a 15– 30-minute tour of the Career Connections Center! This is a great opportunity for First Year Florida Classes, new Student Organizations, and more! You may also add a C3 tour to any presentation in our Outreach Database. If you want to reserve a room in the C3 for your presentation after or before your tour, please request so in your additional details within the Outreach Request form.
Tabling requests include 1-2 C3 staff members attending your fair, Welcome Assembly, or event. During this time, we’ll go over the services that the C3 provides, as well as bring C3 merch and information fliers and can answer questions regarding the C3.
Request to have a C3 staff member come to your class or meeting to review professional documents, LinkedIn profiles, or conduct mock interviews. This option does not include a presentation and is not offered during Express Drop-In Hours. Please see our Express Drop-in page for more information.

Career planning begins with self-awareness. In this interactive presentation, students will reflect on their beliefs about careers and learn about themselves and career possibilities to make more informed career decisions through principles of design thinking. Students will learn strategies to explore and test out career possibilities and develop the next steps to make their possibilities into a reality.
Rooted in positive psychology, the Clifton Strengths for Students assessment identifies top five talent themes that individuals naturally excel in. In this presentation, students will be able to see how they can apply them to their daily life by strengthening them and gain a deeper awareness of themselves and others.
The group is responsible for covering all costs associated with the assessments; the Career Connections Center will provide access and group coaching.

Students will learn interviewing techniques and strategies that will leave a lasting positive impression when interviewing for part-time, full-time, internship, volunteer, or extracurricular positions.
In this presentation, students will learn how to establish their professional brand based on their identity, mission, and values. Having excellent communication skills will bring added value to their work and help build their professional brand.
In this presentation, students will unleash the hidden power of LinkedIn. We will cover strategies to build an “all-star” profile from scratch and teach how to use LinkedIn to grow and nurture professional networks. As a result, students will build their brand, demonstrate thought leadership, advance their career, and even generate leads.
In this presentation, students will understand the purpose and power of a resume and cover letter when searching for various experiences. Students will leave knowing the proper content, style and format for resume writing and cover letter development in addition to identifying strategies to strengthen each document.
