Think your portfolio is ready? Before you hit “submit,” use the checklist below to review your content, design, accessibility, functionality, and overall professionalism. A final review can help ensure your portfolio makes a strong first impression.
☐ Strongest Projects Appear First
Your first few projects are often the most reviewed. Lead with your highest-quality, most relevant work to immediately showcase your skills and interests.
☐ About Me Section Completed
Provide a brief professional introduction that explains who you are, your areas of interest, and the type of opportunities you are seeking.
☐ Resume/CV Updated
Ensure your resume or CV reflects your most recent experiences, skills, accomplishments, and contact information.
☐ Contact Information Visible
Make it easy for employers, clients, or graduate programs to reach you by including a professional email address and other relevant contact information.
☐ Project Descriptions Completed
Each project should clearly explain the purpose of the work, your role, the skills used, and the outcome or impact of the project.
☐ No Spelling or Grammar Errors
Attention to detail matters. Review all content carefully and consider asking a peer, faculty member, mentor, or Career Coach to proofread your work.
